Gas stations and fuel prices

Where the Diesel n' Steel gas stations are, how fuel pricing changes every Tuesday, and how to plan refuelling around the long Malolos run without stalling.

Fuel is the quiet cost that turns a good trip into a break-even one. Gas stations in Diesel n' Steel follow real Philippine pump prices, the price changes every Tuesday, and the pump-boys will not fill your tank until you have paid. On a long route, budgeting fuel badly costs more than a bad fare decision.

There are stations in the towns along the routes, with a well known one near the Malolos Cathedral and fuel available around the Bulakan end of the map, which is where most drivers top up between trips.

How refuelling works

StepWhat happens
1Pull into a gas station and stop at the pump
2Interact with the pump-boy NPC
3Pay for the fuel
4The pump-boy fills the tank

Every jeepney in the game uses a 50 litre tank, from the free Sarao Custombuilt Model 2.0 to the PHP 75,000 Milwaukee and the PHP 50,000 DF Devera. That means the number of trips you get per tank depends almost entirely on the route's length, not on which vehicle you bought.

Fuel per route

RouteApproximate lengthFuel character
Guiguinto - Bulakan4 in-game kmMany trips per tank, low risk
Balagtas - Bulakan4.5 in-game kmComfortable, refuel every few trips
Malolos - Bulakan via Atlag10 in-game kmRefuel as part of every round trip

The Malolos route is the one to plan for. Ten kilometres out, ten back, plus queueing at a narrow terminal, means a tank that carries you through several Guiguinto runs may only cover a couple of Malolos round trips.

The diesel can

ItemPriceWhat it is for
Diesel can (jerry can)PHP 1,500Emergency fuel carried in your inventory

A diesel can holds enough to get you to a station when you have misjudged a run. It is not a substitute for refuelling, because the capacity is limited and it is single-purpose. Buy it from the hardware shop in front of the Bulakan spawn point if you plan to work the long route.

Why the price moves every Tuesday

The price model is tied to real Philippine fuel rates, which change weekly, and the game reflects that on Tuesdays. If you are thinking about your hourly rate, this is one of the reasons a session looks different from one week to the next, and it is why the earning tables on this site are quoted per trip rather than pretending to be a fixed hourly figure.

Cutting fuel cost without cutting income

The useful lever is the engine. Fuel consumption differs between engines: the free 4BC2 returns 10 kilometres per litre, while the PHP 7,000 4JJ1 returns 10.5 and the PHP 5,500 4JK1 returns 12. The twin turbo diesels go the other way, trading economy for power.

FAQ

Do gas prices change?

Yes. They follow real Philippine fuel rates and change every Tuesday.

How big is the fuel tank?

50 litres on every jeepney in the game.

Do I need a diesel can?

Only if you work long routes. It is an emergency reserve, not a replacement for refuelling.

Where are the gas stations?

In the towns along the routes, including a station near the Malolos Cathedral.
