Balagtas to Bulakan route guide
Driving the Balagtas-Bulakan route in Diesel n' Steel: the stop order from Matungao to Wawa, the fare you charge at each one, and where the traffic bites.
The Balagtas route runs between the Balagtas terminal and Bulakan, about four and a half in-game kilometres each way. Three of its four destinations are the base fare. The exception is Wawa, which sits in the fifth barangay and therefore costs PHP 15 regular, or PHP 13 discounted.
That single exception is the whole trick of the route. Get it right and Balagtas is a steady mid-length earner with a reliable terminal loading passengers.
The fare at every stop
| Stop | Regular | Discounted |
|---|---|---|
| Matungao | PHP 13 | PHP 11 |
| Panginay Guiguinto | PHP 13 | PHP 11 |
| Panginay Balagtas | PHP 13 | PHP 11 |
| Wawa | PHP 15 | PHP 13 |

Driving it
From Bulakan the route leaves the hub and heads for Balagtas through Matungao and both Panginay stops before finishing at Wawa. There is a three-way junction in the middle of the Balagtas road where turning left toward Balagtas puts you on the road that also reaches Guiguinto, so the two short routes share a stretch and share the traffic that comes with it.
Loading works the same as everywhere else. Queue at the Balagtas terminal, or collect passengers standing at the roadside once you have empty seats. The terminal is one of the first major hubs most players encounter, which means it is both well populated and competitive.
What a full jeepney returns
| Jeepney | Full-load total on this route |
|---|---|
| Sarao Custombuilt V1 | PHP 266 to 285 |
| Sarao Custombuilt Model 2.0 | PHP 258 to 315 |
| DF Devera | PHP 455 to 525 |
| XLT-AUV | PHP 377 to 435 |
| Milwaukee | PHP 312 to 360 |
The spread between the free starter and the DF Devera is the whole argument for saving PHP 50,000. Same route, roughly double the take, because the Devera seats 32 plus 3 with sabit against the Sarao's 18 plus 3.
Where it fits in your shift plan
Balagtas is the natural second route. It is short enough for quick turnaround, it has one fare variation to practise on after you have mastered the flat Guiguinto fare, and its terminal loads reliably enough to keep a session moving.
If you have not driven the flat-fare route yet, start with Guiguinto to Bulakan. If you are ready for the long run and the seven-step fare ladder, the next step is Malolos to Bulakan.
Giving change on this route
Three of the four fares are PHP 13, so the arithmetic is mostly the base case. Learn one extra number, PHP 15 for Wawa, and one extra discounted number, PHP 13. The routine itself is on sukli: give the right change.
FAQ
How long is the Balagtas route?
About four and a half in-game kilometres from Balagtas to Bulakan.
Why does Wawa cost more?
It sits in the fifth barangay, and every barangay past the fourth adds PHP 2 to the fare.
Which jeepney is best for this route?
The DF Devera returns the most per full load at PHP 455 to 525, but the free Sarao Model 2.0 is fine until you can afford it.

Yes. It is less than half the length and has one fare exception rather than six.
